Public Association “Coalition for Democracy and Civil Society”, as part of its activities conducted a survey of the opinions of Kyrgyz citizens on the situation on the roads after the implementation of the Safe City Project. A nationwide telephone sociological survey was conducted from 13-26 June 2019.
The purpose of this survey was to study the opinion of the population of Kyrgyzstan on various aspects of road traffic, as well as the extent of noticeability of changes in the situation on the roads after the implementation of the Safe City Project. In particular, respondents gave their assessment of the state and quality of roads and road pavement in the country, assessment of pedestrian behavior culture and discipline and level of preparedness of drivers, assessment of competence of staff of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, as well as disadvantages of the Safe City Project and the required necessary preventive measures for road accidents.
